Need help on your shopping? Shopwiki.com can help. I confess that I’m clueless when it comes to choosing the right lamp, bedding and furniture. What I do is check websites with buying guides like Shopwiki so I’d know what to look for. For example, when it comes to buying comforters, I just check the design, thickness and that’s it. I get the cheapest with the nicest design. What I didn’t know is that you can compare them better based on fill power ratings. The higher the rating, the better the quality. This explains why some of them are more expensive when they actually look the same.
I’m also an avid reader of ShopWiki’s home decorating style guide. This is what every Do-It-Yourselfers need to read to avoid turning your place into a hodge podge of styles. The common mistake is that people buy things that they think will look good, without considering the overall look and feel of the room. Another thing that I’ve learned is how to shop for desk lamps. Aside from how nice it will look on your work area, you need to consider other requirements such as the ability to direct the light, multiple brightness settings, flexibility, shape and size, even energy statistics of the bulb. I love fancy lamps especially those that use stained glass however, I doubt if it will meet the requirements for my work area. I need something more flexible and one that can provide enough lighting coverage without affecting the whole room. Shopwiki helped me filter my options that I saved a lot of time and effort finding what I really need.
I’ve never seen so many video games in my life until I visited GameStoreUsa. This site offers Xbox games, PS2 games, Wii games and more. You can choose from new games which are factory sealed or if you don’t mind buying used items, you can purchase used games - all buffed and resealed and still contains the case, original artwork and game manual. Just Search for any games that say Mint or Mint Sealed. Not all of these used games are cheap though because some of them are rare and more expensive than other brand new games.
Personally, I’m not crazy about video games but if ever someone will give me Xbox for free, I’d definitely buy the Karaoke Revolution game or Virtual Tennis. As for my daughter, I’m sure she’ll love some kiddie PS2 games like Dora saves the Mermaids, Nicktoons Attack of the Toybots, and Winnie the Pooh Rumbly Tumbly adventure. There’s no doubt on what kind of games my husband will buy. I’m sure he’ll go crazy when he sees that there are tons of cheap used racing games available. In fact, I might just go ahead and purchase two PS2 games as a belated father’s day gift.
We’re going on a much-deserved getaway this Friday. We only booked one night but since it’s my birthday, we might consider staying another night. The travel, I hope won’t take that long because it’s been a year since we tried traveling with a toddler. And that was in my in-law’s car where we watched movies the whole time. She didn’t mind the three-hour drive because she spent it watching all her hi5 and Harry Potter DVDs.
Just this afternoon, it suddenly occurred to me that we should go ahead and purchase a dvd player for our car. It will definitely make the travel more tolerable for the little one. We have been looking for car DVD players for some time now but still unable to find one that’s right for us. I saw some brands for a folding DVD player at Shopwiki and instantly like the fact that they are lightweight but sturdy. The prices are so much lower too compared last year. There are also headrest monitors but you can’t take this anywhere else once you installed it.
I’m still keeping my options open. I asked my husband to scout the local malls tomorrow and see if he can find a good deal. I’m sure there are 0% interest promos at this time of the month.
I just saw that my cell phone, Nokia E65 now costs $281.99 from buy.com. I bought it nine months ago at $500 and now it’s almost half the price. Talk about depreciation. Well that, or cell phones are just insanely cheap when bought online.
I also saw a Nokia 95 unlocked phone and couldn’t believe that it’s being sold for only $478.99. Man, I better take advantage of this before my client comes home this July. He asked me if there’s anything that I want to buy online so he can bring it with him. Of course, what I really want is an iMac but there’s no way I can afford it right now. A new phone, on the other hand, to replace my now cheap E65 is a great deal. I could always sell it, for a higher price if I find that I don’t like it.

Do you love playing tennis for fun or already a pro? Whether you’re the next Roger Federer or just play tennis to be fit, TennisPlaza.com can provide all the equipment that you need. It’s a one stop shop for all tennis-related items such as racquets, shoes, apparel, strings, bags and other gears. This site offers only the best products from the most popular brands. Add their excellent customer service and you will never go wrong.
For newbies like me, I find their gear guide very helpful. The racquet guide was very detailed on explaining various racquet technologies like aerobeam, dual woofer, flexpoint, intellifiber, string dampener, etc. You’d definitely find no problem choosing between Wilson tennis racquets and Head Racquets after reading this guide.
The options for tennis shoes and apparel are huge. There are Nike, Adidas, K-Swiss, Babolat, Prince, Wilson and New Balance tennis shoes, both for men and women. The apparels are categorized per type so you can easily find a jacket, hat, pants and even undergarments for your next match. Personally, I don’t really need to be a tennis player to enjoy wearing those cute little tennis dresses and skirts that make Sharapova looks gorgeous as ever. Those pleats will do wonders to your legs when worn during hot weathers.
Aside from the products mentioned above, the site also offers DVD and books about Tennis, racquet accessories, shock dampeners and other personal accessories. Tennis Plaza also offers gift cards so you can be sure that your friends will love your gift, having chosen them themselves.
