Perez Hilton

I absolutely love his blog especially the photos, the one with cute white doodles? Lindsay Lohan and Paris are regulars on his blog so if you want to read dirts on them, or any other Hollywood celebrities, make it a habit to visit daily. I came across Perez Hilton while reading a post from John Mayer’s blog and got hooked eversince.

Anyway, I snagged this photo of Scarlet from Perez Hilton’s blog.

Just love her face, her skin (she probably uses natural acne treatment) and her full lips! I was surprised to see at BarnesandNoble that she has an album so I might check that out. Scarlet is pretty funny too. Have you seen her stint at SNL? She was on every sketch and wasn’t afraid to look silly. Now that’s what I call sexy ;)

Cheap phones online

Filed under: technology, websites — Wrote by admin on Sunday, June 8th, 2008 @ 1:43 pm

I just saw that my cell phone, Nokia E65 now costs $281.99 from buy.com. I bought it nine months ago at $500 and now it’s almost half the price. Talk about depreciation. Well that, or cell phones are just insanely cheap when bought online.

I also saw a Nokia 95 unlocked phone and couldn’t believe that it’s being sold for only $478.99. Man, I better take advantage of this before my client comes home this July. He asked me if there’s anything that I want to buy online so he can bring it with him. Of course, what I really want is an iMac but there’s no way I can afford it right now. A new phone, on the other hand, to replace my now cheap E65 is a great deal. I could always sell it, for a higher price if I find that I don’t like it. ;)

Stylish design

Filed under: anything under the sun, cool finds, websites — Wrote by admin on Friday, June 6th, 2008 @ 1:55 am

I came across a new web design blog today called Stylish Weblog. As a designer myself, I make it a habit to view other web designer sites and blogs because you always learn new things. The first thing that I noticed when I saw this design blog is the wordpress theme. It’s so stylish, very web 2.0 and unlike any other themes that I’ve seen. I scrolled down immediately to check the name of the theme but there wasn’t any info about it so I’m guess this is a customized one. The flickr photos on the right panel give the page the color that it needs, making the overall look and feel not only stylish but very professional. Of course, if you call your blog ‘Stylish’, then you absolutely have to walk the talk.

Atila, the author talks mainly about design, custom web design, web development, design technologies, etc. I enjoyed reading the design articles especially this one - Why do you need to redesign your Website? This article is what every website owner, client, web designer should read. Some of the clients that I’ve worked with ask me to re-design their sites but they are not willing to let go of the styles that they’ve accustomed to, ten years ago. Back then, optimizing your site for better search engine placement may not be as important so you can do what you want (or not do anything at all) but now, hundreds of web sites are being created daily so keeping up with the latest trend should be a top priority. Aside from design, you can also read about finance, health, Internet and technology from this Stylish Weblog.

Great Steals - Cheap Branded Apparel

Filed under: personal stuff, websites — Wrote by admin on Sunday, June 1st, 2008 @ 9:48 pm

Who doesn’t want branded fashion for less, raise your hands or should I say click your mouse? No takers? Of course! Who wouldn’t want to pay less for branded items? Women are just born with passion for sales and good finds so I’m sure you’d love what I’m about to tell you.

Check it out - Brandlet.com. It’s an online fashion retailer that offers top brand names at can you believe this, 90% off retail prices. I know a lot of warehouses selling branded clothes at outlet prices but you have to travel two to three hours to get to them. When you reach the place, you need to comb through mountains of unfolded clothes and almost all the time, play tug of war with other women. This makes Brandlet.com the perfect place for budget conscious women who are on the look out for high quality apparels. You can buy branded clothes from the comforts of your own home at a very low price.

Some of the brand names that the site offers are BCBG, Dolce & Gabanna, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Liz Claiborne and many more. Amazing steals are within reach in a matter of few clicks. You can search items by brand, by size, by price of by color. I always shop by price, filtering items under $25 or $50 so I won’t go over budget. For under $20, I found some Liz Claiborne skinny jeans, a cute black Charmeuse blouse by Style and Co. and a shell sequin halter top from Lotta Stensson which also comes in blue.

The Clearance sale section is famous for $10 tops so if you want to stock on sweaters, turtlenecks and cardigans, that’s a great place to start.

Trade Shows

Filed under: technology, websites — Wrote by admin on Tuesday, May 20th, 2008 @ 1:48 am

I just finished designing a table top display for our company’s exhibit on August. We’re hoping that we’d be able to get lots of good leads here just like last year’s. We’re really counting on this event to bring in new clients which eventually will fund our version 2 projects. The initial plan was to use a 10′ curve graphic display like the ones from Camel Back Displays but realized that it would be too big for what we have to offer. We opted for their simple table covers instead because of the size and the fact that it’s so much easier to setup.

If you’re looking for your next trade show exhibits supplier, CamelBack Displays is a great place to start. They don’t only offer factory priced trade show furniture but also director chairs, literature holders, lighting and table covers too. If you don’t think you can handle the design, CamelBack Displays have many skilled designers that can work on your designs from website to logo to brochure to trade show graphics. Everything that you need for your next exhibit and tradeshow can be found from their site.

Mostly Lisa

Let me share with you my latest blog find. Mostly Lisa. This is her in a nutshell - blogger, vlogger, photographer, media producer, actress, model, and geek. She’s a true geek, only hotter! I wish I can post my photos working on my laptop wearing a two-piece suit too but that would be me, five years too late. I also love her “advertise on my back end” idea while talking about ways on how to monetize her blog.

Anyway. The reason why I’m so ecstatic about mentioning her is the fact that she’s the second blogger/website owner that I’ve read of who got a Macbook for free. The other girl (who was equally gorgeous) whose name escapes me right now, made these special artworks that you can stick on laptops and she got a Macbook Pro in return. At least she did something. Lisa on the other hand only have to mention on her blog how she wants to have a Macbook Air and what do you know, someone actually sent her one! Just like that. It helped that she’s really hot of course. She probably never needed any acne treatment her whole life. But who knows what the intentions were behind the sender of the MB Air? I’d do almost anything on my blog just to get one too.
