Have you read this book - A New Earth, Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose? My mother-in-law has been looking for one but it’s always out of stock. I’m thinking of buying it online instead. This book is the latest selection from Oprahs Book Club which my husband told me not to believe because it’s just a marketing ploy. But I’ve actually enjoyed some of the books from Oprahs book club so I’m giving this one a chance. Besides, I’ve read this review from the Buy.com site and find it really interesting.
Illuminating, enlightening, and uplifting, A New Earth is a profoundly spiritual guide to creating a better way of living and a better world to live in.
Building on the astonishing success of The Power of Now, Eckhart Tolle presents readers with an honest look at the current state of humanity: He implores us to see and accept that this state, which is based on an erroneous identification with the egoic mind, is one of dangerous insanity.

Need help on your shopping? Shopwiki.com can help. I confess that I’m clueless when it comes to choosing the right lamp, bedding and furniture. What I do is check websites with buying guides like Shopwiki so I’d know what to look for. For example, when it comes to buying comforters, I just check the design, thickness and that’s it. I get the cheapest with the nicest design. What I didn’t know is that you can compare them better based on fill power ratings. The higher the rating, the better the quality. This explains why some of them are more expensive when they actually look the same.
I’m also an avid reader of ShopWiki’s home decorating style guide. This is what every Do-It-Yourselfers need to read to avoid turning your place into a hodge podge of styles. The common mistake is that people buy things that they think will look good, without considering the overall look and feel of the room. Another thing that I’ve learned is how to shop for desk lamps. Aside from how nice it will look on your work area, you need to consider other requirements such as the ability to direct the light, multiple brightness settings, flexibility, shape and size, even energy statistics of the bulb. I love fancy lamps especially those that use stained glass however, I doubt if it will meet the requirements for my work area. I need something more flexible and one that can provide enough lighting coverage without affecting the whole room. Shopwiki helped me filter my options that I saved a lot of time and effort finding what I really need.

How many times do you hit the snooze button on a typical morning?
~Once. I only use the alarm for my husband anyway.
Whenever I wake up in the morning, I’m usually so pumped about the things that I need to do. However, when lunchtime comes; I always wonder where the time has gone and why I have so many tasks left at hand. So to start my day, I’m gonna write down my to-do list here.
1. Go to the bank and apply for a new checking account
2. Pay our credit card bills
3. Fetch my daughter and prepare her lunch
4. When the little one is asleep, work on my design projects
5. Set up a meeting with my daughter’s teacher to discuss School policies
6. List down my monthly budget
7. Plan our meals for the week
8. Apply for a new SSS ID
9. Talk to the homeowner president to ask the requirements in setting up a garage sale.
Good thing we have a helper or else my list will includes laundry, cooking, and cleaning the house.
I know I’m not perfect but this just made me laugh today.

I was watching this TV show about destination weddings last night when I noticed that the chapel villa looked familiar. It was a while before they mentioned Tuscany villa rentals that I remembered seeing the same house from the movie Under the Tuscan Sun. When I saw that movie, I fell in love with Tuscany and hoped that I’d get a chance to visit it someday. And after seeing the place again from the TV show last night, Tuscany now definitely falls on my list of dream destinations. How romantic it is to get married in a place like that! I bet it’s pretty expensive too but if you can afford it, then why the heck not?
I’m glad that ever since I gave birth, my PMS attacks have lessened. I’ve heard about women who find it hard to function during that time of the month, to the point that they refuse to go to work at all. The good news is there’s this progesterone cream that helps combat the symptoms of PMS. Not only that but it also eases the conditions associated with menopause, reduces stress, prevents osteoporosis and offers relief of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. The website says this cream is made of natural products and doesn’t contain any chemical additives. Still, I’d suggest a thorough research or contact their support people to learn more about this product.
I’ve been receiving birthday invitations left and right. Even though I’ve promised not to spend any more money on toys for my daughter, I’m still buying them at least once a month because you can’t go to parties empty handed right? Five years ago, the parties consist of wines, tequilas, late nights and boxes of pizzas. Now, it’s all about balloon bursts, piñatas, magicians, bubble shows and loot bags. Things really have changed. Gone were the 20 somethings who stay out all night till morning to take advantage of buy one take two San Mig lights. They’ve been replaced by parents who spend $100-$300 on cribs, strollers and worry about BPA-free bottles. The good thing is we’ve all gotten used to staying up late that going on a 24-hour sing and dance marathon with a colicky baby is just a walk in the park.
