Online Video Game Store

Filed under: websites — Wrote by admin on Tuesday, June 17th, 2008 @ 1:02 am

I’ve never seen so many video games in my life until I visited GameStoreUsa. This site offers Xbox games, PS2 games, Wii games and more. You can choose from new games which are factory sealed or if you don’t mind buying used items, you can purchase used games - all buffed and resealed and still contains the case, original artwork and game manual. Just Search for any games that say Mint or Mint Sealed. Not all of these used games are cheap though because some of them are rare and more expensive than other brand new games.

Personally, I’m not crazy about video games but if ever someone will give me Xbox for free, I’d definitely buy the Karaoke Revolution game or Virtual Tennis. As for my daughter, I’m sure she’ll love some kiddie PS2 games like Dora saves the Mermaids, Nicktoons Attack of the Toybots, and Winnie the Pooh Rumbly Tumbly adventure. There’s no doubt on what kind of games my husband will buy. I’m sure he’ll go crazy when he sees that there are tons of cheap used racing games available. In fact, I might just go ahead and purchase two PS2 games as a belated father’s day gift.

Time for an update

My design portfolio is so outdated that I rarely show it to my new clients. I’ve decided to come up with a design now while I’m free. And when I say now, it will probably take me more than two weeks to finalize the first mockup. I am after all, my worst critic.

The design however will be based on these brushes from Brusheezy.com

Wish me luck. I’m planning to create a special artwork as well so it will definitely take longer than one month. And that’s if I don’t slack off.

Shopping for Car DVD

Filed under: technology — Wrote by admin on Monday, June 16th, 2008 @ 8:28 pm

We’re going on a much-deserved getaway this Friday. We only booked one night but since it’s my birthday, we might consider staying another night. The travel, I hope won’t take that long because it’s been a year since we tried traveling with a toddler. And that was in my in-law’s car where we watched movies the whole time. She didn’t mind the three-hour drive because she spent it watching all her hi5 and Harry Potter DVDs.

Just this afternoon, it suddenly occurred to me that we should go ahead and purchase a dvd player for our car. It will definitely make the travel more tolerable for the little one. We have been looking for car DVD players for some time now but still unable to find one that’s right for us. I saw some brands for a folding DVD player at Shopwiki and instantly like the fact that they are lightweight but sturdy. The prices are so much lower too compared last year. There are also headrest monitors but you can’t take this anywhere else once you installed it.

I’m still keeping my options open. I asked my husband to scout the local malls tomorrow and see if he can find a good deal. I’m sure there are 0% interest promos at this time of the month.

A Healthy Getaway

Another place where I initially wanted to spend my birthday is The Farm at San Benito in Batangas. I’ve been hearing lots of great reviews about this place including how peaceful it is to stay there. When my husband read the site’s mission though, he suddenly had second thoughts.

Our mission is to promote wellness and a lifestyle that is geared towards proactive health practices.

To educate and disseminate information that will foster healthier lifestyles.

He pictured organic, green leafy foods, no steak whatsoever. Now we love greens as much as the next person but to eat nothing but leaves for two days is just too much for us. We want to be healthy, but not that healthy LOL. A friend told me too that even though the experience is rejuvenating, they felt like they can use a Big Mac meal. By the way, the site offers tons of health and wellness packages and medical packages like colon cleanser, kidney cleansing, liver cleansing and psycho-emotional therapy. I’m sure this is worth a try too, especially those who are serious in wanting to cleanse their bodies.

Something New

Most of my closest friends are asking me the same question for the past three days. Why did I cut my hair? They admit that it looks good but they knew my fear of short hairs. I’ve used my long black hair to my advantage for so long that they were so shocked to see me sporting a short bob so similar to Katie Holmes’ hair. I always answer that I’m tired of my long hair but the truth is I want to feel chic and new so bad. Ever since I started working from home, I’ve forgotten my daily beauty regimen because no one will see me other than my daughter. My skin have gone bad, (well not so bad that I’d need acne treatments) but the pores are just huge, with fine lines surrounding the eye area. Like it’s not bad enough not to have anyone to talk to during work hours. I don’t have the excuse to dress up in fab clothes since I don’t leave the house so I started feeling depressed and downright ugly. With the new haircut however, I just feel so young, fresh and definitely IN. When I wake up everyday, I can’t help but smile and see the new me. ;) So my advice whenever you’re feeling old, get a makeover!

To Tuscany

I was watching this TV show about destination weddings last night when I noticed that the chapel villa looked familiar. It was a while before they mentioned Tuscany villa rentals that I remembered seeing the same house from the movie Under the Tuscan Sun. When I saw that movie, I fell in love with Tuscany and hoped that I’d get a chance to visit it someday. And after seeing the place again from the TV show last night, Tuscany now definitely falls on my list of dream destinations. How romantic it is to get married in a place like that! I bet it’s pretty expensive too but if you can afford it, then why the heck not?

Quick Vegas Escape

Looking for Las Vegas travel guides? You can’t go wrong with Shermanstravel.com. A friend recently had a five-night vacation in Vegas and he raved about this website. He got some cheap hotel and flight packages s he was able to squander his money on entertainment - gambling and clubbing. He couldn’t stop talking about his Cirque du Soleil experience, including a whole day of shopping and museum hopping. I was so green with envy listening to him relive that afternoon when he saw some of the great works by Picasso and Renoir. The photos that he took were amazing too and I will share them with you as soon as I got his permission.
