Those were the days

I’ve been receiving birthday invitations left and right. Even though I’ve promised not to spend any more money on toys for my daughter, I’m still buying them at least once a month because you can’t go to parties empty handed right? Five years ago, the parties consist of wines, tequilas, late nights and boxes of pizzas. Now, it’s all about balloon bursts, piƱatas, magicians, bubble shows and loot bags. Things really have changed. Gone were the 20 somethings who stay out all night till morning to take advantage of buy one take two San Mig lights. They’ve been replaced by parents who spend $100-$300 on cribs, strollers and worry about BPA-free bottles. The good thing is we’ve all gotten used to staying up late that going on a 24-hour sing and dance marathon with a colicky baby is just a walk in the park.
